The Philippine Grid Problem – Solved at the Generator Heart

If you run a BPO center in Quezon City or a resort in Palawan, you know the word "brownout" is a nightmare. As of 2025, the Philippines has 27,927 MW of installed capacity against a peak demand of just 19,000 MW. On paper, there is no shortage. Yet, yellow and red alerts happen regularly.

The problem is structural: 66.3% of power comes from inflexible coal plants. These baseload giants are forced to ramp up and down daily to meet the peak window from 2 PM to 11 PM. This cycling causes boiler tube leaks and forced outages.

When the grid fails, a reliable silent generator set isn't a luxury — it's a necessity.

And every reliable generator starts with a reliable generator set motor (alternator). That's where Bax Power comes in.

Quality: Built for Philippine Heat & Typhoons

Unlike cheap alternators that fail in the first summer due to heat, our generator set motors feature:

  • Class H tropical insulation – Rated for 45°C ambient with 100% output (no derating)

  • IP44 splash-proof construction – Optional for outdoor mounting in typhoon-prone areas

  • Sealed terminal boxes – Prevents moisture ingress during wet season

Standard alternators derate at high temperatures. Ours don't.

Certification for Export – CB + PS/ICC Ready

To enter the Philippines legally, generator sets must comply with CB certification. As a member of the CB scheme, the Philippines accepts CB test reports for local PS/ICC validation.

What Bax Power provides:

  • CB test reports for each alternator model

  • Technical documentation to support your PS/ICC application

  • Consistent manufacturing for repeatable compliance

We don't sell finished gensets. We give Philippine assemblers a certifiable alternator.

FAQ – For Philippine Assemblers, Dealers & End Users

Q1: What alternator size for a Quezon City apartment?
A: For fridge + TV + lights + fans: 3-5kVA alternator on a suitable engine. For a house with ACs: start at 15kVA.

Q2: Can your alternator survive typhoons?
A: Standard units are IP23 (drizzle-resistant). We offer IP44 (splash-proof) units for outdoor mounting — perfect for exposed coastal areas.

Q3: What if the finished genset has no PS mark?
A: BOC will hold it at customs. Our alternators come with CB test reports and full technical files to help your local assembly pass PS/ICC certification.

Q4: Noise level for subdivisions?
A: Our skewed stator design reduces magnetic noise at the source. Combined with a silent canopy, the finished genset achieves <65dB @ 7m — quieter than most tricycles.

Q5: Do you provide engine authorization certificates?
A: We provide alternator OEM certificates. We work with all major engines (Cummins, Perkins, Deutz, etc.). You don't need a separate alternator authorization.
